Boys’ Basketball: WACO, W-MU Earn Tuesday Wins

WACO 67, Holy Trinity 40 

Reece Oswald led WACO with 17 points while Simeon Reichenbach and Hunter Hughes each had 11 as WACO earned a 67-40 win over Holy Trinity.

Colton Liechty added 10 points for the Warriors.

The win moved the Warriors to 10-2 and 6-2 in Super Conference play.

They’ll get a showdown with No. 8 (1A) New London on Friday night in New London.

Holy Trinity dipped to 2-10 — they’ll be at Cardinal Friday.

Winfield-Mount Union 59, Pekin 35 

Winfield-Mount Union outscored Pekin 31-14 in the second half to roll to a 59-35 win over the Panthers, in a Super Conference tilt last night.

Winfield led by just one at the end of the first quarter but opened the lead to seven at halftime.

The Wolves are now 11-1.

Pekin fell to 3-8.

Cardinal 70, Notre Dame 62

Griffin Greiner scored 18 points while Dawson Lewis added 17 as Cardinal picked up an eight-point, 70-62 win over Notre Dame last night.

Liam Delaney poured in a game-high 23 while Jackson Brent chipped in with nine.

Notre Dame is now 4-8.

Cardinal upped their ledger to 8-4.
