Boys’ Golf: Wilson Guides Panthers to Team Win

Mount Pleasant — Brevin Wilson carded a 2-under 34 as the Mount Pleasant Panther boys’ golf team picked up a season opening win yesterday at Mount Pleasant Golf and Country Club.

Nick Matheney added a 2-over 38 while Reece Kempker carded a 42 to pace Mount Pleasant.

The Panthers finished 12 strokes better than that of Washington, while Keokuk finished in third.

Mount Pleasant will be off until next Tuesday when they travel to Burlington for their first invitational of the year.

    • Brady Loyd shot a 40 to finish as meet medalist, helping guide Winfield to a win over Lone Tree at Blue Top Ridge Golf Course. Jacob Kongable shot a 43, while Bryce Wade added a 49.
