Boys’ Track: Mount Pleasant Runners-Up

Keokuk — Mount Pleasant had three individual winners and claimed victory in the sprint medley relay on their way to a runner up finish at the Keokuk Relays last night.

Will Davidson won the open 200m dash for the Panthers, he ran 23.31.

In the hurdles, Bryce Wilson continued his terrific sophomore season with a personal best 15.63 seconds. Wilson finished nearly a full second ahead of second place Lane Davis of Van Buren County.

Jack Johnson finished in third running 16.78 for Mount Pleasant.

Cooper Pullis and Nick Holtkamp went No. 1 and No. 2 in the shot put with Pullis throwing 51 feet, three inches for first place. Holtkamp followed that up with a toss of 46 feet, five inches.

In the sprint medley, Mount Pleasant ran 1:40.96 for first.

Fort Madison went 1:41.57 for second.

The Bloodhounds won the team event, however, with 179 points.

Mount Pleasant finished with 146.

Burlington placed third.
