Ottumwa — Former Winfield-Mount Union star Madie Anderson and the Indians Hills softball team saw their season come to a close this weekend, falling twice to Crowder College in the Midwest District Tournament.
Anderson took the loss in the game one of the best-of-three series, striking out seven over 6.1 innings.
The former Winfield-Mount Union ace led the Warriors to its most team wins since 2006 after posting a team-high 17 wins in the circle.
Anderson tossed seven complete games on the year, including three shutouts.
Indian Hills closed their season with a record of 46-10.
