Iowa City — The University of Iowa wrestling team is the preseason No. 1 according to the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association poll.
The Hawkeyes nabbed all 14 first-place votes and are one of ten Big Ten programs in the first edition of the rankings.
Penn State, Missouri, Michigan and NC State round out the top five.
Kevin Dresser’s Iowa State Cyclones are the preseason No. 14, while Northern Iowa is No. 17.
Iowa will open up their season November 19th, hosting No. 22 Princeton.
The dual is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
