The Lee County Sheriff’s Department is again holding a free Conceal Carry Class on June 25th, 2024 at 5 pm through 7 pm at the Lee County Sheriff’s Department at 2530 255th St. Montrose. This will be a classroom presentation without any firearms or live fire practical’s. This training meets the Iowa requirements to apply for a permit to carry weapons.

Although Iowa no longer requires a permit to carry weapons as of July 1st of 2021, there are several benefits to having a permit to carry weapons that include reciprocity of other states.
