HCHC Gift Shop’s First Thursday Sale is today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 407 S. White Street in Mount Pleasant. Receive 25% off one regular-priced item and browse a great selection of garden flags, wind chimes, patriotic apparel, gifts and more. The shop will also feature delicious cheesecakes from Shut Your Piehole Cheesecakes.

Henry County Public Health’s immunization clinics will be closed for the remainder of this week due to refrigerator repairs. All vaccines have been safely transported to an alternative storage facility to maintain proper storage conditions while repairs are completed. Fairfield hosts a community parade celebrating “250 Years of America” at 6 p.m. New this year, starting at 5 p.m., the Fairfield Public Library will host an Independence Day Bike Brigade—inviting families to decorate bikes, wagons, and strollers before rolling straight into the parade. After the parade, the celebration continues in Central Park with music, ice cream, and an evening of community fellowship.

Mt. Pleasant Community Band Concert 7pm- Held uptown in Mt. Pleasant in Central Park Square. There will be slices of pie for freewill donation towards 4 local P.E.O Chapters!

Community Blood Drive- ImpactLife will host a community blood drive on 07/02/2026 from 2pm-7pm at Keosauqua United Methodist Church in the Meeting Room. Donating blood is a simple way to help ensure local hospitals have the lifesaving blood products they need for patients facing surgery, cancer treatments, traumatic injuries, and other medical emergencies. Eligible donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment or walk in if space allows. Every donation can help save lives throughout the region.
