This is free fishing weekend in Iowa.  A fishing license is not need today, Saturday or Sunday.

Winfield City Wide Garage Sales taking place today and June 5.

The Swedesburg Evangelical Lutheran Church’s Social Ministry Committee’s garage sale will be Friday, June 4th and Saturday, June 5^th at the Swedesburg Parish Hall, 201 Academy Avenue, Swedesburg. The sale will be from 8 to 5 on Friday and 8 to 2 on Saturday.

The Birmingham Lions Club  will serve home made tenderloin dinner including cole slaw, baked beans, beverage and dessert starting at 5 pm. Then Saturday start the day off with biscuits and gravy. Sunday morning they are serving a breakfast buffet, all you care to eat only $6.00. All held in the park shelter.

Due to supplier labor & covid issues on catfish, there will be no catfish tonight .  There will be shrimp, as well as swai fillets available as a substitute. Special Price Adjustment for this month, serving Swai fillets, with Sides. 1 Fillet and Sides $10.00, 2 Fillet and Sides $12.00. Houghton T-Ball and Intermediate Baseball tonight at 6 PM and 7 PM. Concession’s stand will be open and the weather looks great!
