The First Presbyterian Church Women are holding a rummage and bake sale at the church, 902 S. Walnut Street in Mount Pleasant from 8 am to 1 pm.

The Mount Pleasant High School F.F.A. is doing a Feed the Farmer Project with the Iowa Corn Growers again this year. The chapter will be distributing meals from 11am to 1 pm at Agri Center and at the Chem Gro  location in Salem location while supplies last. Even if it is too wet to be in the field, come by and get a free meal for your family or crew while you are working on machinery, working animals, or just taking a breather. Anyone who works in the agriculture industry is welcome!

The Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra presents their inaugural Masterworks Series concert with performances at 7:30 tonight at the Capital Theater in Burlington, Sunday at 2 pm at the Bridge View Center in Ottumwa and Sunday at 6:30 pm in the Iowa Wesleyan University Chapel Auditorium.
