November 25th  Happy Thanksgiving

Mount Pleasant City offices are closed today and Friday.  However, Thursday garbage will be collected on Friday.

The Mount Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance office is closed today and Friday.

Henry County Public Health will also be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 25^th and Friday, November 26^th. Visit HealthyHenryCounty.org/covid for the latest updates on COVID-19 and vaccine clinics.

The Rec Center and Mount Pleasant Community PTA presents Turkey Trot, a 5K Fun Run/Walk.  Registration and activities start at 8 am with the race beginning at 9 am at the Mapleleaf Parking Lot.  There will be kids activities, face painting, pie decorating, a bounce house and more.  Cost i $20 per person, kids 12 and under are free.  Register at the Rec Center or online at mpreccenter.com.

The Mount Pleasant Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at the First United Methodist Church from 11 am to 1 pm featuring the traditional Thanksgiving meal and sponsored by Grace Friends Church.

The 11th Annual New London Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at Clark Elementary from 11:30 to 1 pm.

The Wayland Community Thanksgiving dinner will be held on Thanksgiving Day from 11 am to 1 pm at the WACO Highschool. This will be a traditional Thanksgiving meal.  Take outs are available but there will not be delivery of meals this year. Wayland Ministeries is coordinating this year’s dinner.

The Festival of Lights in Mount Pleasant is open for the holiday season.  See the hundreds of displays set up thru out the Old Threshers campgrounds.  Open 5:30 to 9 pm tonight thru the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and then every night in December. New attractions this year include the new Santa House, the Snow Village collection, horse and wagon rides and trolley rides to the Log Village.
