September 5  Labor Day The Mount Pleasant City offices are closed due to the Labor Day holiday. Garbage collection will be one day later this week.

September 8 There will an artist reception at the Main Street Art Center for John Preston.  His exhibit titled, "As I See It," is on display during the month of September.  The reception will be held from 5 to 7 pm at the Center, 106 S. Main Street.
