From the Mount Pleasant School Board

The Mount Pleasant School Board met in regular session Monday. Finance Director Ed Chabal took the Board  though the Preliminary Fiscal Year 24 Certified Budget. Based on the calculations, the overall tax asking for the school district is estimated to decrease by  94 cents to $13.11 per $1000 of assessed valuation.

A public hearing was set for the April 10 Board meeting at 6:02 pm.  The hearing will address the proposed change in the Board Director District.  The change would move the Board from five director districts and two at large districts to three at large districts and two director districts each represented by two directors.

The Board approved an overnight  trip request from the FFA Chapter. Chapter members will attend the State FFA convention April 16-18 in Ames.
