Henry County 2-Week Road Closure Begins Wednesday, July 15th: 245th Street and Hickory Avenue

Just a heads up that starting Wednesday, July 15th, the Henry County Road Department will begin re-grading 245th Street and Hickory Avenue from 235th Street to the bridge at the County Quarry entrance.

245th Street and Hickory Avenue will be closed to through traffic for two weeks, depending on weather. In addition, drivers should expect daily closures at various crossroads while crews replace drainage pipes, and are also encouraged to plan alternate routes as well as allow extra travel time.

If you have any questions, please call the Henry County Road Department at 319-385-0762.

And from all of us at KILJ, please remember to “respect the cone zone”—slow down, stay alert, and give road construction crews plenty of room to work safely.
