Henry County residents will have an opportunity this Thursday to share their thoughts on proposed battery energy storage systems, data centers, and solar development in Henry County.
The Henry County Board of Supervisors has scheduled a public meeting for Thursday, June 25, at 6 p.m. at the Henry County Emergency Management Building, located at 900 West Washington Street in Mount Pleasant.
A moratorium is currently in place preventing battery energy storage systems, data centers, and commercial solar plans while the county develops regulations and ordinances governing these types of projects. Before moving forward with any decisions, the Board of Supervisors is seeking public input from residents.
Officials encourage anyone with questions, concerns, or ideas about future energy development in Henry County to attend and participate in the discussion.
The public meeting begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 25, at the Henry County Emergency Management Building in Mount Pleasant and will take place in conjunction with the county’s regular weekly supervisors meeting.
