The Mount Pleasant Music Boosters are preparing for one of their biggest events of the year, and they need the community’s help.
The 26th annual Mount Pleasant Marching Band Invitational will be held Saturday, September 19. Mount Pleasant will welcome marching bands from 10 schools across Southeast Iowa and west-central Illinois for an evening of music and competition.
The invitational is also one of the largest annual fundraisers supporting the Mount Pleasant Music Boosters and the school district’s music department.

Organizers say community support helps make the invitational possible while benefiting Mount Pleasant students, staff and fine arts programs.
