All God’s Creatures Animal Shelter is calling for volunteers to help during the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion in Mount Pleasant.
The shelter still has more than 70 shifts to fill as part of its Old Threshers fundraising contract. Volunteers will handle simple jobs such as supervising parking lot entrances, helping visitors safely cross streets and directing vehicles into parking areas.
Each shift lasts about two to three hours, with morning, midday and evening options available. Families and couples are also encouraged to volunteer together.
Every completed shift earns money for the shelter, helping cover animal care and operating expenses. All God’s Creatures says its utility bills alone total more than $1,000 each month.
