Jefferson County Fair Kicks Off Today with Parade in Fairfield

The Greater Jefferson County Fair gets underway today in Fairfield, with the annual fair parade officially kicking off a week of family fun and entertainment.

Residents are invited to grab their family, friends, and a good spot along the parade route through downtown Fairfield. Lineup for parade participants begins at 6 p.m., with the parade stepping off at 7 p.m.

The parade marks the beginning of fair week, which continues with grandstand events June 25th through the 28th at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, located at 2606 West Burlington Avenue.

This year’s grandstand schedule includes Dirt Drags on Thursday, June 25th, the Farm and TSPA Truck and Tractor Pull on Friday, June 26th, Motocross and Quad Races on Saturday, June 27th, and the always popular Crash the Clunkers demolition derby on Sunday, June 28th.

In addition to the grandstand attractions, fairgoers can enjoy carnival rides, fair food, livestock exhibits, concessions, and activities for all ages throughout the week.

Organizers say the fair is all about bringing the community together and creating memories that last. Everyone is encouraged to come out, cheer on the parade, and help celebrate the start of another Jefferson County Fair.
