Men’s College Basketball: Turnovers Sink Tigers in Second Half

Davenport — Ten second half turnovers doomed Iowa Wesleyan, as the Tigers fell to St. Ambrose 78-66 last night in Davenport.

The Tigers, trailing by five at the 2:00 minute mark of the first half, clawed back into the game with a late flurry to cut the deficit to one at the break.

St. Ambrose stretched their lead to 15 points before Wesleyan chiseled it back down to five at the 3:05 mark of the second half.

The Tigers could not get any closer.

Joey Brown led Wesleyan with 20 points and seven assists, while Carver Locke added 13 points and seven boards.

Grant Mason paced the Bees with 20 points off the bench.

Iowa Wesleyan fell to 11-17.

St. Ambrose is now 12-14.
