Sinclair Tractor will be celebrating their 25^th Anniversary on Saturday, June 24^th. This event is a private, invite-only party for 8,000 to 10,000 customers, employees, and business partners, as well as a fundraiser for the 5 Food Banks that service our area, providing food to 352 local food pantries.

With rising inflation and food insecurity at an all-time high, Sinclair Tractor owner & CEO Bob Sinclair felt it important to use this event to give back to the communities that have helped support Sinclair Tractor for the first 25 years. As a long-time supporter of the food banks, Bob Sinclair stated, “Inflation is tough. More and more people are going to find it hard to put food on the table. Sinclair Tractor has been blessed over the past 25 years to be a part of these communities, and we need to do our part to help those who are struggling.”

Sinclair Tractor has set a goal to raise $1 Million dollars for the food banks in Southeast Iowa, Northeast Missouri, and Western Illinois, and with the help of several business partners we are well on our way. While the party is free to its invited guests, there will be multiple opportunities for people to give back in the form of a donation to the area food banks.

This event is scheduled from 8am-7pm, a full day of activities. McMillan Park will be used starting June 20^th-June 26^th for set up and tear down.

Of course, with the influx of visitors, there will be many more cars on the road, so drive carefully and watch out for visitors. Also, many restaurants and fast-food chains will most likely see an increase in foot and car traffic during that day as a result of all the visitors.

The Mt. Pleasant Evening Rotary is sponsoring a “blood drive” on Monday, July 17^th, from 2:30-5:30pm. This will be at the Van Allen Elementary school gym, 801 E. Henry St. Masks are optional for this event, and appointments are required.

The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center is proud to announce the return of the FREE Summer Outdoor Concert Series this month. Music lovers can catch some of the best Iowa bands every other Thursday night at 7:30 pm, starting from June 29th. So, save the date, grab your lawn chairs, and get ready to experience the best that summer in Iowa has to offer!

For those who have attended previous concerts, you know that these outdoor events are not to be missed. This year’s lineup features Jonas Magram Jazz on June 29th – one of Fairfield’s very own favorites. The band will serenade the crowd with their unique rendition of American Jazz Standards, made popular by none other than the legendary Sinatra himself. Prepare to be transported to a bygone era of jazz mastery and timeless classics.

On July 13th, in partnership with Classic 96 Live on the Square, we welcome Iowa darling Pieta Brown. Pieta’s unique blend of folk, blues, and country music has garnered her a national following and devoted fans everywhere she goes. Her music is emotional, honest and heartfelt, and she never fails to captivate crowds with her soothing voice and enchanting guitar skills.

July 27th is sure to be a hit with David Huckfelt, who will take the stage with a mix of indie bluegrass and Americana music. An Iowa native, Huckfelt is famous for his work with The Pines, and now brings his solo artistry back to his home state.

Finally, on August 10th, prepare to be blown away by Des Moines-based The Feel Right Band, who will be performing all your favorite songs from Pop, R&B, Soul, and Jazz. Led by Sharane Calister, who was a top 12 contestant on NBC’s The Voice in 2018, this band will have you grooving to their beats all night long.

So, gather your friends and family, bring along some snacks, and enjoy the free summer outdoor concert series at Fairfield Arts & Convention Center. All concerts will be held at 200 N. Main Street, Fairfield, and are scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm. Admission is FREE to all, so bring your lawn chairs, your dancing shoes, and the whole family out to enjoy a night of fantastic live music under the open sky.
