New London 69, Notre Dame 48
Kade Benjamin had 18 points, while Blaise Porter and Devon Swanson each added 14 as New London rolled to a 69-48 Super Conference South Division win over Notre Dame last night.
Despite playing a three overtime classic the night before against Mount Pleasant, the Tigers jumped on the gas pedal early, staking themselves out to a 21-9 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Notre Dame slashed the lead to seven at the break but New London went on a 25-10 third quarter run to salt the game away.
Jackson Brent led Notre Dame with 11 points with Matt Booten adding nine.
New London improved to 8-0 with the victory.
Notre Dame is now 4-5.
WACO 69, Central Lee 28
WACO raced to an early lead and never looked back as the Warriors started the New Year with a 69-28 win over Central Lee last night.
The Warriors went on a 47-13 run in the second half to effectively end the game.
WACO is now 7-2 while Central Lee dropped to 0-8.
Winfield-Mount Union 64, Columbus 11
Abram Edwards poured in 20 points and seven rebounds while Cam Buffington finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds as Winfield-Mount Union beat Columbus 64-11.
The Wolves went on a 28-1 second quarter run to remove all doubt.
Winfield-Mount Union moved to 7-1.
Columbus is 3-5.
