No. 8 (4A) Fort Madison 42, Mount Pleasant 7
Fort Madison scored three touchdowns in the second quarter rolling to a 42-7 rout over Mount Pleasant last Friday, spoiling Panther homecoming festivities.
Landes Williams threw for three touchdowns in the win — all in the second quarter — giving him 10 on the season. He was picked once by Panther safety Jacob Richtman.
Mount Pleasant got on the board in the 3rd quarter, when quarterback Carson Coleman hooked up with Payton Hagans on a 44-yard scoring strike cutting the deficit to 28-7.
The Panthers would not get any closer.
The game’s final score — and dagger — came on a Bloodhound pick-six.
Fort Madison improved to 5-0.
Mount Pleasant slipped to 1-4.
The Panthers will rest up and travel to North Liberty next week for a date with the Lightning.

No. 8 (8P) WACO 7, New London 0
It was an old-fashioned slobber knocker that will be remembered for years and in the end it was the No. 8 WACO Warriors with the glory earning a gutsy, hard-fought 7-0 win over New London last Friday, raining on the proverbial Tiger homecoming parade.
The WACO win snapped a streak of six consecutive losses against New London.
Simeon Reichenbach racked up 27 carries totaling 119 hard earned yards.
Jonah Clark had the lone touchdown for the Warriors.
WACO improved to 6-0.
New London slid to 2-2.
Winfield-Mount Union 33, Lone Tree 22
Winfield-Mount Union won their second straight matchup, earning a 33-22 win over Lone Tree last Friday.
The Wolves jumped to a 32-0 lead before the Lions woke up for 22 unanswered in the 4th quarter.
Cam Buffington finished with 209 total yards and four touchdowns to lead the Winfield attack.
Abram Edwards hauled in two catches for 44 yards and two scores.
Winfield-Mount Union improved to 4-1.
Lone Tree fell to 3-2.
