Prep Girls’ Basketball: New London Slips, WACO Wins in Busy SEISC Night

West Burlington 69, New London 20 

Natalie Burden’s seven points and four steals weren’t enough as West Burlington raced past New London yesterday 69-20.

Abbey Bence poured in a game-high 25 points while Kenna Marlow had 18.

West Burlington moved to 5-1 and will take on WACO Friday night.

New London is 0-9.

Mediapolis 69, Winfield-Mount Union 44

Mediapolis head coach Todd Borrison won his 500th game as the Mediapolis ladies steamrolled to an easy 69-44 win over Winfield-Mount Union last night.

Hallie Mohr had a career high 33 points on 12-of-17 shooting from the field.

Hanna Wagenbach added 18 for the Bullettes.

Keetyn Townsley and Bradie Buffingotn led the Lady Wolves with 14 points apiece.

Winfield dropped to 6-2, while Mediapolis improved to 7-0.

WACO 45, Van Buren County 37

Ellah Kissell scored 28 of WACO’s 45 points guiding the Warriors to a 45-37 over Van Buren County yesterday.

Kissell drilled three triples in the win.

Grace Coble added eight for WACO, who improved to 5-2.

Shea Scott and Zoe Best had nine apiece for Van Buren, who fell to 1-6.
