Republican nominee for Iowa governor Zach Lahn will make a campaign stop in Wapello Wednesday morning as part of his statewide 99-county tour.
Lahn will meet with area residents from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. at the Briggs Civic Center, located at 317 North Water Street.
The Louisa County Republicans say free coffee and doughnuts will be served. The event is open to the public and will provide an opportunity for residents to hear from Lahn and ask questions about issues facing Iowa.
Wapello is the first of five campaign stops scheduled for Lahn Wednesday. He will also visit Tipton, Clinton, Bellevue and Edgewood.
