On June 18, 2026, at approximately 12:02 a.m., deputies with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a single-vehicle rollover accident at the intersection of 287th Street and Fremont Avenue.
Upon arrival, deputies determined a Chevrolet Malibu had left the roadway and rolled into the ditch. The driver, Nicole Schlatter, 26, of Trenton, Iowa, reported she swerved to avoid a deer that had entered the roadway.
As a result of the investigation, Schlatter was cited for Failure to Maintain Control.
