Mount Pleasant JV Baseball will play next on Monday, June 13 at 5:30 PM against Fairfield at Fairfield Middle School. Mount Pleasant Varsity Baseball will play next on Monday, June 13 at 7:30 PM against Fairfield at the Mapleleaf Athletic Complex in Mount Pleasant.
Mount Pleasant Varsity Softball was defeated by Mid-Prairie by a score of 11-1 Friday night. Junior Jersey Beachy went 2 for 4 with a double. Junior Jayden Housh finished the game 1 for 2 with 1 RBI. Sophomore Madison Helling pitched 3 innings allowing 10 runs, 4 earned on 7 hits with 2 walks. Panther Softball will be back on the field Monday, June 13th with a doubleheader against Fairfield at Mapleleaf Athletic Complex. The first game will begin at 5:30 PM with the second set for 7:30 PM.
New London Varsity Baseball continues their great season as they were victorious over Hillcrest Academy Friday night by a score of 8-1 to improve to 11-0. Senior Dereck Santiago went 2 for 2 with a double and 4 RBIs. Senior Tucker Gibbar went 1 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Sophomore Brendan Richey pitched 5.1 innings allowing 1 earned run on 2 hits with 3 walks and striking out 6. Tiger Baseball will be back in action on Monday, June 13th for a matchup with Pekin. New London Varsity Softball will play a pair of games today in the Fairfield Tournament at Fairfield Middle School. The first game against Van Buren County is scheduled for 11 AM. The second game is set for 12:30 PM as the Tigers will play Central Lee.

2010 – The 2010 FIFA World Cup began at Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa. It was the first World Cup to be played in Africa. Spain won the World Cup a month later.
