Mount Pleasant

Mount Pleasant JV and Varsity Baseball had their games against Mid-Prairie cancelled on Friday due to weather. Mount Pleasant JV Baseball will play tonight at 5:30 PM against Fairfield at Fairfield Middle School. Mount Pleasant Varsity Baseball will play tonight at 7:30 PM against Fairfield at the Mapleleaf Athletic Complex in Mount Pleasant.

Mount Pleasant Varsity Softball was defeated by Mid-Prairie by a score of 11-1 Friday night. Junior Jersey Beachy went 2 for 4 with a double. Junior Jayden Housh finished the game 1 for 2 with 1 RBI. Sophomore Madison Helling pitched 3 innings allowing 10 runs, 4 earned on 7 hits with 2 walks. Panther Softball will be back on the field tonight with a doubleheader against Fairfield at Mapleleaf Athletic Complex. The first game will begin at 5:30 PM with the second set for 7:30 PM.

New London

New London Varsity Baseball continues their great season as they were victorious over Hillcrest Academy Friday night by a score of 8-1 to improve to 11-0. Senior Dereck Santiago went 2 for 2 with a double and 4 RBIs. Senior Tucker Gibbar went 1 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Sophomore Brendan Richey pitched 5.1 innings allowing 1 earned run on 2 hits with 3 walks and striking out 6. Tiger Baseball will be back in action tonight for a matchup with Pekin. That game is scheduled for 5:30 PM, and you can catch live coverage on 105.5 KILJ.

New London Varsity Softball had a pair of games on Saturday. The first game resulted in a 4-1 loss to Van Buren County. Senior Ashlyn McSorley went 2 for 2 with 1 RBI. Junior Elly Manning pitched the complete 6 inning game for New London, allowing 4 runs, no earned runs with 2 hits. Central Lee defeated New London in game 2 on Saturday by a score of 11-1. Senior Ashlyn McSorley went 1 for 2 with 1 RBI. Junior Elly Manning went 1 for 2 with a double. Megan Lee pitched the complete 6 inning game, allowing 11 runs, 5 earned on 8 hits with 4 walks and striking out 1. Tiger Softball will be back on the field tonight in New London as they will take on Pekin, first pitch is set for 7:00 PM.

Winfield-Mt. Union

Winfield-Mt.Union Varsity Baseball defeated Danville 4-3 on Friday to gain their first win of the season. Wolves Baseball is back on the field tonight as they will go on the road to take on Louisa-Muscatine. That game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM.

Winfield-Mt. Union Varsity Softball will be back in action tonight following a 9-7 loss at Lone Tree on Thursday. Wolves Softball will take on Louisa-Muscatine on the road, that game is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM.
