Snow has fallen in Southeast Iowa and whatever your thoughts on it, there will be more. The National Weather service is forecasting an additional 1-2 inches of snow per hour at certain times throughout the day.
Expect heavy winds this afternoon, in excess of 40mph. This will cause blowing snow and make travel very difficult. While plows have been out on the roads this morning, cars have been seen in ditches. Do not drive if you do not need to, and if you do, slow down and pay attention. Expect commute time to increase greatly this morning and throughout the day.
