A jury trial is underway for a Washington man accused of leaving two firearms on school grounds.
West Reed Holden, 22, is charged with two counts of carrying weapons on school grounds. Both charges are Class D felonies.
The case began after two firearms were discovered near the Washington High School baseball field in May of 2025.
Authorities reviewed surveillance footage as part of their investigation, and Holden was arrested the following month.
His jury trial began Tuesday in Washington County District Court. Additional information will be released when a verdict or other court action becomes available.
The charges are accusations, and Holden is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
