On May 30, 2021, at approximately 4:22 p.m., the Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a vandalized Chevy Express van, located on private property, near the intersection of Dakota Avenue and Old Highway 34. During the investigation it was found that, in addition to the vandalism, approximately $2,000 worth of items were taken from the vehicle.
In conclusion of the investigation two male juveniles, one 17 YOA from Rome and one 16 YOA from Mount Pleasant were charged with Theft 2nd Degree and Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree. Both are Class D Felonies.
