On May 25 the Mt Pleasant Police became aware of credit card skimmers placed at a local gas station. Three skimmers were seized and the local banks were made aware of the situation. The police said local banks have been great in providing the illegal transactions on the cloned cards to law enforcement. It was determined that there are two male subjects using the cards. They were driving a dark colored Mercedes Benz GLS. It is not known who the male subjects are or if they are still in the area.
