Young exhibitors and their canine companions took center stage Sunday afternoon at the Washington County Fair during the annual 4-H Dog Show, demonstrating months of training in both showmanship and obedience competition.
The competition included beginner and advanced showmanship classes, along with obedience divisions ranging from first-year handlers through graduate novice competitors.
Showmanship Beginner Champion was Lucy Droll, Showmanship Advanced Champion was Cooper Boman. Obedience Pre-Novice A was Annabelle Septer, Obedience Pre-Novice B went to Emma Alderton. Obedience Sub-Novice Champion was Skylar Swift. Obedience Graduate Novice was Bryce Roth.
At the conclusion of the event, champions and reserve champions were recognized in each division, along with awards for Overall Grand Champion Dog going to Jenna Puttman, Reserve Grand Champion Dog going to Bethany Langr, and Most Improved Dog awarded to Cooper Boman.
The annual dog show continues to showcase the dedication of Washington County 4-H members, highlighting the teamwork, patience, and responsibility required to successfully train and exhibit their dogs.
