Women’s College Basketball: Iowa Upset, Iowa State to Sweet 16

Creighton 64, Iowa 62 

Lauren Jensen hit a go-ahead three pointer with 15 seconds left in the game, as Creighton upset second-seeded Iowa 64-62 yesterday in the Round of 32.

Jensen, a former Hawkeye, finished with 19 points and seven rebounds to lead the Jays.

Monika Czinano led Iowa with 27 points and six rebounds.

Caitlin Clark finished with 15 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds.

Iowa ends their year 24-8, Creighton is now 22-9.

Iowa State 67, Georgia 44

Lexi Donarski poured in a game-high 20 points as Iowa State steamrolled into the Sweet 16 with a 67-44 win over Georgia.

Four Cyclones scored in a double figures, with Emily Ryan stuffing the stat sheet with 15 points, nine assists and three steals.

All-American Ashley Joens had 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Iowa State is now 28-6.

The Clones will take on Creighton this Friday at a time to be determined.
