Two Arrested Following Search Warrant in Keosauqua

Two people were arrested and two others were cited following the execution of a search warrant Sunday evening in Keosauqua.

According to the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office, deputies served a search warrant at a residence in the 800 block of North Fourth Street at approximately 5:15 p.m. on July 5th.

Authorities say 32-year-old George Cornell was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, first offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Thirty-five-year-old Jeremy Viccari was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, third offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia, first offense.

In addition, 39-year-old Emily Viccari and 32-year-old Abigail Barkenhagen were each issued summonses to appear on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Sheriff’s Office says Jeremy Viccari and George Cornell remain in custody awaiting their initial court appearances.

As with all criminal cases, the charges are accusations, and all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
