Henry County Wednesday Events Set to Take Center Stage

One of the biggest nights of the 2026 Henry County Fair takes center stage this evening.

Along with the fair royalty competition, several other events will highlight the evening’s activities. The Brownfield Ag Youth Awards will recognize outstanding young people for their achievements, leadership, and dedication to agriculture.

Fairgoers will also hear the announcement of the static exhibits selected to advance to the Iowa State Fair, showcasing some of the top projects created by Henry County youth this year.

The evening will also feature the 4-H Clothing Event, held during the Queen competition, where participants will model garments and projects they have designed or constructed while demonstrating the skills they’ve developed through the 4-H program.

The spotlight will then turn to the 2026 Henry County Fair Royalty Contest, as contestants compete for the titles of Henry County Fair Princess, Junior Queen, and Fair Queen. This year’s competition features 11 Princess contestants, 10 Junior Queen contestants, and three Queen contestants.

The evening’s highlight will be the crowning of the new Henry County Fair Queen, who will have the honor of representing Henry County at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines this August.

Tonight’s events are expected to be a memorable celebration of the accomplishments, leadership, and dedication of Henry County’s youth — while introducing the young women who will represent the fair and the county throughout the coming year.
