Henry County Public Health is helping families get ready for the new school year with a Back to School Health Fair on Tuesday, August 11th. The event will run from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Central Campus located in the 100 block of West Franklin Street.
Children can receive required immunizations, lead testing, dental screenings, and vision screenings all in one visit. Sports physicals for students entering grades 7 through 12 will also be available for $25 cash only. Community resource tables, giveaways, and language translation services will also be offered, and all families are welcome to attend.
The goal is to give parents one convenient evening to complete their children’s back-to-school health requirements before the busy school year begins. Immunizations and screenings are required for students entering Kindergarten, 3rd, 7th, 9th, and 12th grades.
