A Friday afternoon fire destroyed a garage and damaged neighboring homes in Fort Madison.
Fort Madison Fire and Rescue responded shortly before 5 p.m. to the fire in the 10 block of Richards Drive.
The garage was destroyed, while heat from the fire caused exterior damage to nearby homes.
Information about injuries, the cause of the fire and a damage estimate has not been released.
