At approximately 6:35 PM on September 17th, 2021, the Washington County Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a stabbing incident that occurred at 406 Washington St., Ainsworth. Emergency personnel from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County Conservation, Washington County Ambulance, and Ainsworth First Responders all responded to the scene. One stabbing victim was transported from the scene to the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City by Washington County Ambulance. The victim was treated and has been released. The incident is currently under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and further information will be provided when it becomes available.
