Wapello — New London finished over 100 strokes better than Wapello as the Tigers walloped their way to a huge Super Conference win at Heritage Oaks Golf Course.
Taylor Phillips continued her string of dominance with a 42 to earn medalist honors.
Sophie Malott added a 46, while Emma Nye chipped in with a 55.
Liby Shafer led Wapello with a 67.

The Iowa Wesleyan baseball team earned two wins yesterday, knocking off Eureka College 3-1 and 11-0 as they improved to 8-15.
In game one, former Mediapolis prep Cauy Massner hurled eight innings of one run ball, scattering five hits while striking out 10.
Brandon Devillier worked a scoreless ninth to earn the save.
Former Mount Pleasant standout Corbin Broeker had two hits, while Nick Salas homered for the Tigers.
In game two, Wesleyan jumped out to a 7-0 lead after two innings as they rolled to victory.
Broeker again was tough at the plate for Blake Beaber’s bunch registering two hits, three runs scored and a run batted in.
Dom Gerace, Trey Sherrill, Jack de Burgh and Erik Kiewiet all had two hits for the Tigers, while Sherrill drove in a game-high six runs.
Everett Swinson threw a complete game allowing seven hits while striking out five.
Wesleyan will be off until Saturday when they host No. 5 Webster.

Fulton — The Iowa Wesleyan softball team (5-9) will begin their conference tournament push this afternoon when they travel to Fulton, Missouri for a date with the fourth-seeded Blue Jays of Westminster.
The Tigers split with the Blue Jays earlier this year, earning a 3-0 win while falling 8-2.
Undoubtedly Wesleyan will turn the keys to the Ferrari over to former New London ace Morgan Christner, who has found another gear in the back half of her senior season.
Christner has allowed two runs or less in each of her last six starts.
Her four wins leads the staff her ERA is now a sparkling 1.90.
This afternoon’s game will begin at 4:30 p.m.

KILJ — Saturday’s finals sessions will be split and spectators will be ticketed through qualifying participants due to capacity restrictions at this month’s IHSAA & IGHSAU State Track & Field Championships in Des Moines.
The three-day co-ed meet will remain at Drake Stadium on its previously announced dates: Thursday, May 20, and Friday, May 21, with finals on Saturday, May 22. Current attendance limits from Drake University and Polk County Health Department will be in place.
Class 2A and Class 3A boys and girls will compete in early sessions each day. Class 1A, Class 4A, and Wheelchair boys and girls competitors will be in the later session each day.
Spectators and participants will be required to clear the facility after each of the six sessions, including Saturday’s finals.

Boys’ Golf: Panthers Win at Fairfield:
The Mount Pleasant boys’ golf team finished three strokes better than Fairfield as the Panthers earned a win at yesterday’s invite hosted by Fairfield High School at Fairfield Golf and Country Club.
Brevin Wilson and Nick Matheney both finished with 75’s to lead Rob Zeglen’s group.
Reece Kempker added an 82, while Reece Coffman carded a 94.
Fairfield finished in second with 329 strokes with West Burlington coming in third.
Rounding out the top-five was Van Buren and Washington.

Fairfield — The Mount Pleasant boys’ track team earned 117 team points as they rolled to a team win at the Brookhart-Crew Relays on a soggy night at Fairfield High School.
Bryce Wilson, who has been percolating over the last month for Mitch Anderson’s group, won the 110m hurdles once again running 15.67 — he also anchored the shuttle relay team to victory.
That quartet included Morgan Van Nyhuis, Mason Mills and Will Davidson.
They ran 1:07.55.
Two other Panthers earned wins yesterday.
Ben Carthey surged to a victory in the 3200m run — he ran 11:00.21.
Cooper Pullis, who has his sights set on a trip to the State Track meet later this month, took gold home in the shot put with a hurl of 51 feet, eight inches.
Mount Pleasant finished as runner-up in three relays and four individual events.
Washington placed second behind the Panthers while Fort Madison finished in third.

Fairfield — Senior Grace Kelley threw 122 feet, 10 inches — good for second all-time in school history as the Mount Pleasant girls’ track team dominated their way to victory at the Brookhart-Crew Relays in Fairfield.
Kenna Lamm picked up a win in the 100m dash and helped orchestrate a win in the 4×100 — a Drake Relays qualifying event — in 52.39.
Also helping that relay claim victory were Bailey Jalas, Josie Gilmore and Karsyn Lamm.
Fellow throws partner of Kelley Jadan Brumbaugh won the shot put, cruising with a throw of 43 feet, three inches.
Abby Blint finished second in both the 3000m (12:10.42) and the 400m hurdles (1:16.30) for the Panthers.
Karsyn Lamm added a second place finish to the Panthers’ scorecard in the long jump, catapulting herself 16 feet, three inches.
Mount Pleasant accrued 157 team points, Davis County placed second while Fairfield finished third.

Burlington — Andrea Lopreato scored the lone goal late in the second half as the Mount Pleasant girls’ soccer team kept their unblemished record clean with a 1-nil win over Burlington yesterday at Bracewell Stadium.
Lopreato attempted six shots on goal and finally found the back of the net in the 73rd minute in the second half.
Elly Manning assisted on the lone goal and also had two shots on goal.
The win all but ensured the Southeast Conference title for Mount Pleasant.
Emma Pieper was her usual outstanding self with eight saves, helping guide the clean sheet.
Mount Pleasant, now 7-0, will be back on their home pitch on Thursday when they take on Fort Madison.
Match time is set for 4:30 p.m.
