Burlington — Andrea Lopreato scored the lone goal late in the second half as the Mount Pleasant girls’ soccer team kept their unblemished record clean with a 1-nil win over Burlington yesterday at Bracewell Stadium.
Lopreato attempted six shots on goal and finally found the back of the net in the 73rd minute in the second half.
Elly Manning assisted on the lone goal and also had two shots on goal.
The win all but ensured the Southeast Conference title for Mount Pleasant.
Emma Pieper was her usual outstanding self with eight saves, helping guide the clean sheet.
Mount Pleasant, now 7-0, will be back on their home pitch on Thursday when they take on Fort Madison.
Match time is set for 4:30 p.m.
