Oskaloosa — Brevin Wilson carded a seven-over 77 and lost medalist honors in a playoff, as the Mount Pleasant boys’ golf team finished second at yesterday’s monster 15-team invite in Oskaloosa.
Reece Kempker chipped in with an 81, while Nick Matheney shot an 84.
Wilson tied with Pella’s terrific Will Simpson with a 77 through 18, but lost to him on their second playoff hole.
Norwalk won the team event with a low score of 323, Mount Pleasant finished second with a 334.
Winterset, Pella and Oskaloosa rounded out the top-five.
In other boys’ golf yesterday:
- Brady Loyd shot an 87 as Winfield-Mount Union finished 8th at yesterday’s team team invite at West Liberty. Jacob Kongable added a 94, while Bryce Wade finished with a 97 for the Wolves.
