KILJ — Mount Pleasant’s Nick Matheney finished 5th as an individual at last night’s Class 3A boys’ golf sectional, advancing to districts.
Solon was the meet champion with 293 strokes. Washington was the runner up with 325 strokes.
Mount Pleasant placed fourth, missing out on a trip to districts by five strokes.
Districts will be hosted at Wildcat Golf Course in Shellsburg.
Reece Kempker placed 10th for Mount Pleasant while Ian Hake finished 22nd.
Solon’s Mac McCarty was the meet medalist, carding a one-over 71.
Kaleb Allen of Notre Dame and Washington’s Roman Roth both tied for second.
