Boys’ Soccer: Panthers, Burlington Meet at East Lake

Mount Pleasant — The Mount Pleasant boys’ soccer team will welcome in Burlington tonight at East Lake Park for a conference fixture.

The Panthers enter play this afternoon with a record of 2-8, while Burlington is 2-6. The Greyhounds last won when they beat Keokuk on the road back on April 19th, 11-1.

Burlington took the first matchup between the programs this season, a 2-nil win, on April 15th in a game played at Bracewell Stadium.

Tyrese Lee paces the Greyhound attack with seven goals on 16 shots on goal.

Freshman goalkeeper Cayden Lowery has made 70 saves.

Mount Pleasant is led on the attacking front by Iowa Wesleyan recruit Dillon Malone, a senior who has scored four times.

Logan Lee has made 90 saves.

This afternoon’s game will begin at 4:30 p.m.
