Lawrenceville (GA.) — Iowa Wesleyan’s Sage Bonner and Cristian Cordero have both been named to Continental Athletic Conference All-Tournament team, the league announced.
Bonner went 5-for-12 with three doubles, two runs and a stolen base.
Cordero racked up five hits — including two doubles — driving in three and scoring three runs of his own.
Top-seeded Georgia Gwinnett College captured the inaugural Continental Athletic Conference Baseball Championship with a 5-2 victory against Fisher College (Massachusetts).
Georgia Gwinnett and Fisher will now represent the CAC in the Opening Round of the NAIA national championship tournament, May 16-19.
The tournament field will be announced by the NAIA national office Thursday, May 12, at 4 p.m. central.
