Mount Pleasant — The Iowa Wesleyan softball team played just one game this weekend due to Health and Safety Protocols, but earned a 3-1 win over Spalding in their only tilt on Friday.
Morgan Christner was the winning pitcher, throwing seven innings allowing seven hits and a walk while striking out eight hitters.
Kayla Ford had a hit and run batted in while Alex Eyman drove in one as well.
The win improved the Tigers to 2-6.
They’ll be back on their home diamond on Wednesday when they hook up with Simpson College for a nonconference doubleheader.
First pitch is set for 4:00 p.m. for game one.
Game two will follow at 6:00 p.m.
