Henry County Sheriff Rich McNamee announces his office will participate with US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) on April 30, 2022, from 10am-2pm, in the “Drug Take It Back Initiative”. Henry County Sheriff’s Office will be “taking it back” at their office, and they will partner locally with New London Police, Wayland Police, and Winfield Police; in their efforts. During the scheduled event, anybody may bring unused, or unwanted, prescription medications to any of the above mentioned locations for disposal. We kindly note that sharp instruments and liquid medications are prohibited. Henry County Sheriff’s Office will coordinate with US DEA for disposal of these medications.
If anybody wishes to dispose of medications, but are unable to bring them to the event, please contact Henry County Sheriff’s Office, at any time, to arrange for proper disposal. Henry County Sheriff’s Office continues to take back medications throughout the year, at their office. A disposal box is available 24/7 at the sheriff’s office.
