New Sharon — The New London Tiger girls’ golf team is heading to the 1A State Golf meet.
The Tigers qualified as a team after carding a 392 to finish as runner-up in the eight-team field at Prairie Knolls Country Club in New Sharon.
Sigourney was the meet champion with a 386.
Taylor Phillips led New London with an 84, while Greenlee Smock of Lynville-Sully was named the meet medalist.
The 1A State Golf Tournament will be held at Ames Golf and Country Club June 1st and 2nd.
