Girls’ Soccer: Postseason Brackets Announced, Notre Dame Tonight

Burlington — The Mount Pleasant girls’ soccer team will get a good look at their first round playoff opponent tonight when they lock horns with Burlington-Notre Dame in a non-conference matchup in Burlington tonight.

Mount Pleasant, 8-1, drew the Nikes in the first round of the Class 2A-Region 8 playoffs.

They’ll play that first round matchup at East Lake Park.

Tonight they’ll lock horns with the Nikes at Notre Dame High School.

Addison Parrott leads the Nikes with 11 goals and 26 shots, while Lexi Mears is second with nine assists and eight goals.

Notre Dame has won two straight over Regina and Davenport Central.

Mount Pleasant dropped their last matchup, ending their undefeated season, losing 4-3 to Washington.

Tonight’s matchup will begin at 5:00 p.m.
