“How Saving Small Towns Soothes our Souls”

MOUNT PLEASANT— The Mount Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance invites you to hear “How Saving Small Towns Soothes our Souls” presented by Kiley Miller, former chamber executive and current President & CEO of Trees Forever. Miller will be presenting his TEDx Talk at the Heatilator Center on Monday, January 24 at 1:00 pm.

“I had the privilege of hearing Kiley present his TEDx Talk at a recent conference. It is such an enlightening and positive outlook for small rural communities. I immediately invited Kiley to come share his talk with his hometown,” said Kristi Perry, Executive Vice President of the Mount Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance.

TEDx Talks are designed to share knowledge that matters through short talks and presentations. Business leaders and other vocations take the TEDx stage to present ideas worth spreading. A TEDx Talk is a showcase for speakers presenting great, well-formed ideas in under 18 minutes.

Kiley Miller is the President & CEO of Trees Forever, a position he accepted in February 2021 after a national search. Previously he led economic development organizations in rural Iowa. Mr. Miller has been a print journalist and served in the United States Army. A native of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, Kiley now lives with his wife, Carry, in the Cedar Rapids metro area. They have two adult children and one in high school. Kiley is passionate about the Trees Forever mission and is leading the next five-year strategic plan in collaboration with the Board of Directors and Foundation Trustees.
