Prep Spring Golf- Nearing the halfway mark of April, the spring sport season is flying by and its time to start thinking about postseason. The Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) released the sites for the boys’ spring golf postseason earlier today. Team assignments will be announced on April 24th or 25th.
The sectional meet is set to be a one-day 18-hole competition on Wednesday, May 8th. Team and individual qualifiers will then advance to districts, which will also be a one-day 18-hole competition scheduled for Monday, May 13th. Qualifiers from districts will then compete in the state tournament on Monday and Tuesday, May 20th and 21st, in Ames.

CLASS 1A: East Buchanan, George-Little Rock, G-T/R-A, Kingsley Pierson, Lake Mills, Lynnville-Sully, Moravia, Mount Ayr, Nashua-Plainfield, New London, North Cedar, Sidney, South Winneshiek, Springville, St. Edmond (FD), West Monona
CLASS 2A: Camanche, Columbus Catholic, Interstate 35 (Truro), Kuemper Catholic, Mid-Prairie, Monticello, MVAOCOU, North Fayette Valley, Pella Christian, Roland-Story, Sibley-Ocheyedan, Tri Center (Neola),
CLASS 3A: Creston, Humboldt, Lewis Central, Mt. Pleasant, Okoboji, Oskaloosa, Vinton-Shellsburg, West Delaware
Here’s the district hosts:
CLASS 1A: CAM (Anita), Gehlen Catholic (LeMars), Newman Catholic (Mason City), Wapello
CLASS 2A: Dike-New Hartford, Panorama, Regina Catholic (Iowa City), Unity Christian (Orange City)
CLASS 3A: Atlantic, Carroll, Waverly-Shell Rock, Williamsburg
Class 1A will then golf at Ames Golf and Country Club for the State Championship, while Class 2A will be at Coldwater Golf Links and Class 3A will be held at Veenker Golf Course.
