New London Invites Community to Celebrate Dover Day Saturday

New London will celebrate Dover Day Saturday with a full morning of activities for all ages.

The day begins with a three-mile run and walk. Registration opens at 7 a.m. at the New London City Park shelter house, with the event starting at 8.

Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m., when Main Street businesses and vendors will also open. The New London Fire Department will hold water fights beginning at 8 at the fire station, followed by a bounce house and community worship in the park at 9.

Other activities include a tie-dye shirt station, an 11 a.m. variety show, a tailgate party with a free-will donation lunch and an open house at the Dover Museum.

Community appreciation awards will be presented at noon, with Dover Day concluding at 1 p.m.

The celebration recognizes 193 years of Dover Township and 165 years since New London was incorporated. Residents and visitors are encouraged to attend, support local businesses and enjoy the community celebration.
